Fruit Ninja Review

Halfbrick has made a bunch of good games but my favourite out of all their great games is Fruit Ninja.  It starts off with Sensi teaching you how to be a Ninja.  Fruits appear on the screen and you have to slice them for points.  However, bombs also appear and if you slice the bombs you lose.  You cannot miss slicing the fruit on the screen 3 times or you lose.  Two ways to get bonus points are to slice a combo (where you slice three or more fruits with one swipe) or to slice a pomegranate as many times as you can before it goes away.  If you slice Starfruit you can get Starfruit points to get power-ups.  Power-ups can do berry explosions (which looks cool and gives you five points) and all sorts of other power-ups.  I love using them.

You can go on different modes as well: Zen mode, Arcade mode and Classic mode.  My favourite is Zen mode.  If you complete certain missions (for example, slice thirty bananas in one round) you can get new blades and backgrounds from Sensi’s shop.  If you get this game, I insist you get Fruit Ninja Puss In Boots.  I find it even more fun than Fruit Ninja, for one reason, because you can get missions that make the game more challenging.

The thing that keeps me coming back to Fruit Ninja is that I always have liked trying to beat my best score to get a huge number.  Something I really like about the game is the leaderboards.  I always feel so proud seeing my name on the leaderboards.  I love to play this game every day.

I hope you want to get this game, and I hope this review is making you think about getting very soon.  The only thing I don’t want is for you to knock my name off the leaderboard!

Well Perry I don’t think you have to worry about me knocking you off the leaderboard but it does sound like a fun game, one I would enjoy playing. Great review, you explained how to play the game really good.

Slicing up fruit super-fast sounds fun – especially since I would not have to worry about actually cutting myself! For that matter, it would also be great to see the explosion and not have to worry about cleaning up the fruit mess!
